The 2021 Audiokarma Member of the Year

Dear AudioKarma Family,

When I'm kinda speechless, you know I'm feeling it.

Today I'm kinda speechless.

When I wandered into this joint during summer 2006, I sure wasn't thinking I'd still be arriving here, almost daily, o'er the next 16 consecutive years. But that's what happened. It happened because I found a place on the world wide thing that mattered to me, where I "e" met guys - and a few gals - who, like me, loved listening to music, loved talkin' about music, loved talkin' about methods of reproducing & playing back music, ways to record music, and makin' music. Folks who, like me, were and are in it for The Sound.

Along the way I've learned a variety of ways to collect music; one method in particular has resulted in a digital collection of ~ 3TB of the stuff, pretty much replicating my most of my vinyl horde and a significant portion of the 78s ... all of it still sittin' in The States, thousands of miles from me.

Along the way I have made dozens of friends at this community, people with whom I have shared so much -- nearly a quarter! -- of my life, as mentioned above, almost daily. Sure, over that 16-year spell the cast has changed, sometimes abruptly other times gradually, but as some folks move on or away other folks move in or towards and it keeps on working.

I cannot imagine not being at, not participating in and with members of this community. Y’all are some really cool and fun and provocative folks and that’s what I love most about this joint…. the membership.

I am appreciative, honored, humbled and I might be doin' that jumpin' banana thing in my mind.

Thank you, my AudioKarma Family.

Congratulations to you Mystic and to all that were nominated.

And as Ernie so well stated "You are a valued part of our community, and our membership has commended you for your contributions, not just to the technical information, but also to the spirit of our community."

Ms Grumpy

Thanks, Nancy.
