I see piles of cords (NOT chords! :nono like that every day at the scrap place, as well as at the wholesale used-audio dealers. It's priced by the pound, and what's in that picture is no where remotely close to fifty bucks' worth. The person selling them has probably only ever seen individual replacement cords in fancy packaging at retail, and doesn't realize how much these things depreciate.

Now if they were all "magic snake oil" AUDIOPHILE type cables, it might be different. At least, they'd all be thicker, and you'd be paying for that thickness!
