The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good morning, -6 F feeling like -12 F.
We should get to the low 20's F by Monday.
That will feel downright balmy compared to what we've had.
G-daughter and daughter are here, staying overnight.
Their dad/husband is in Vegas for a conference.
We're going out for supper.
Stay warm and cozy.

Good morning all! Cold air intake on the furnace frosted over, again! This time I dug out some ice near the vents and laid a board next to the exhaust port. That will (hopefully) direct the condensed air away from the intake. We'll find out in a day or two.

Other than that, not much going on. Waiting for orthopedic services to get in touch with me.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning, y'all! We have 62 and cloudy all day here. Foggy, too, but that's supposed to burn off by noon. We;re taking the grand to school then working around the house as Sweetie Pie is having 3 girlfriends over here tomorrow. Looks like an easy afternoon ahead, maybe we can take a walk at the small park. Have a great day everyone, stay safe and warm.

Good Morning! Clear and upper 30s F for the walk, going to 71.
I discovered roasted cubed chicken in the freezer aisle a while back, good for a quick salad, and last night I did chicken stir fry with frozen veggie mix.

Today: normal Friday, computer backup and grocery pickup. Check that camera and flash are ready and batteries charged for tomorrow's car show.
Are the floors too far gone to ignore? We'll see...

Have a fine Friday!

Dang. That stinks. No fun loosing heat and crawling around in this weather.
I hope the board trick works, seems it would help. Could you slip a piece of stove pipe or such to extend the exhaust, or extend the intake ? Or are there limits to what the system requires ? I'm not familiar with it.

I got the oil tank filled yesterday, got the 5 cent senior discount. Brought it down to $3.53 gal. I've paid more, but still 'Ouch'.

Mrs. Kid's new library had 1/2 of it's heating systems fail 2 weeks ago. The worst possible timing. One system is still functioning , but the other has a leak. They charged it last week and now it's not working again. This weekend they're discharging, fixing, recharging the system...that's gonna be an expensive fix.

Good Morning Folks. It is currently 23f on the porch and today's predicted high is 51f. Driving into town and meeting friends for lunch. I'm trying to make Refried Pinto Beans. I soaked the beans 24 hours and yesterday drain off the water and got ready to mash them. No masher because mine is in the Mid West home. This evening is the weekly Pot Luck Dinner at the Saloon. After lunch, on my way out of town, I will pick something frozen for the PLD and get a masher.
Have a great Friday everyone and take care.
Allan

Mornin’
Maybe I should just skip the weather. Heading out for the bike ride in a minute. Taking mom to the doctor and a pedicure this afternoon. VZW made me a deal I couldn’t refuse so I got a new phone. Ordering new everything to go with it ain’t cheap, but it’s a huge step towards being all USB C.
Have a great day,
John

TMI - Today is WFD Day 1 (weed free day). Time to see how Celebrex alone handles the pain after the Sprint PNS treatment without the analgesic effect of my daily cannabis regimen. I also like to let the fog clear and inventory my faculties every couple of years. The results have been great - I’m managing without opioids and Gabapentin (talk about foggy headed).

The intake is a 90° elbow (with a critter cover) not far from the ground, so that wouldn't work.

The exhaust is a T pipe (also with a critter cover) right next to the intake. I could put an extension on the top of the T, but the bottom will still be pushing out condensed air, which could be sucked into the intake.

Best I can do is wait until spring and cut off the 90 elbow on the intake and extend it upward along the side of the house.

Good morning dear friends!

Negative UNO° F!.... and sunny!   :banana::banana::banana:High 19.

Last night, my friend and I hung out again and shared music. I never knew about this:

Every single song better than the original! We had been hanging out all day and of course, talking about music. He mentioned that Cheap Trick had covered the entire Beatles Sgt Pepper album and one thing leads to another. Good chance we'll do some more today. Unfortunately, that means being indoors and missing this awesome, cool weather. So, since I am up now, may as well get out there and truly chillax while I can.

God bless you all!

Good morning. It's 49°F going to 61. It sure doesn’t feel like a Montana winter.

I am boycotting, no, taking a break from, the running club so I’ll take myself on a solo run this morning. At noon I’ll meetup with the local Urban Sketchers group downtown and do a drawing of something yet to be determined. At 3 I’ll meet some friends for a beer. In the evening I’ll do a practice session on the guitar. That’s about it for today.

Good morning, 0 F, feeling like -5 F but very sunny.
We went out for supper last night to 'Swiss Chalet' which, despite the name, is as Canadian as it gets.
Family is upstairs playing with Lego's.
We're staying warm with thermostat set at 74 F, both upstairs and in the basement.
Have a wonderful day.

Good morning, y'all! We have 62 here and some sunshine this morning, turning cloudy around 10 AM. Sweetie Pie is headed out on a day trip with 3 of her girlfriends, so I'll have to fend for myself today. The grandson has 2 basketball games, so I'll go to both of those. I'd like to go walking in the small park and stop in at the record store between the games. Have an awesome day, everyone. Stay safe and warm.

Wyoming is sending you warmer weather, mid 40's today, mid 50's tomorrow. Make me want to grab a pole and head to the lake! But my trustworthy car has a broken windshield so I won't scratch that itch today , maybe Monday after the rookies get done beating up the water over the weekend. I haven't received all my paperwork to do my taxes, nor have I prepared things I need to sell to pay cash for a different vehicle, probably a little newer but no vehicle without a keyed entry, keyless, that just insane in the wilds of wyoming. It's just about 40f already so it should be a good day to get outside and get the stink blown off me.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and take breaks if you got shoveling to do, the snow doesn't care if it kills you trying to remove it. john

Keyless entry systems are far from being the same. My favorite that I have owned are the proximity sensor type in VW’s - no buttons.

Mornin,
Nothing special going on today except I’m taking my wife to see what I hope will be my ’69 Bus by Thursday. Found it yesterday on display for the HB Surf City Marathon today. Been looking for the right one for 15 years.
Have a great day,
John
