I found a seller with only one XRT24 speaker for $1500. Great price but dam, it will be so difficult to find another single...

Would make a nice center channel! Unless peering around it to see the screen is a big deal ...
Yeah, it would LOL! But where would one find a XRT24 for this price, even if it's only one speaker? I may have to make a mono setup just for this. Worst thing about this is the seller is selling this OBO.

Oh I don't know ... I'd likely offer a lot less than that ...

If your HT system was projection and with a transparent screen a good deal. They must have had L and R already sold.

Personally I would go with a floor to ceiling array for center. But I suppose reflections from center for voice is not as critical as shorter distance away from walls is b

Well, here is the story. The previous owner had two sons, and when he passed away, he willed the pair to his sons. They couldn’t agree on who got the pair, and refused to sell them, so they each got one. Now it’s moving on.

How do I know this? I don’t. Just made it up. But it makes a good story! ;)

At an estate sale there was one Quad ESL 57 for sale, $15. I passed it up.

2 hours later, one of the people working the estate sale brought the other back; he was listening to it, and decided he didn't want them.

If you found a pair you could have a great sounding 3 channel system. Get you a roll of white grill cloth to use as a screen to put in front of the speakers with a big 4K projector and you would be ready to go. Add a 303 amp and you' d be set for a long time.

Although it belongs in 'curbside', there's a guy on Columbus Oh craigslist selling about half-a-dozen single speakers. There have been other posts here over the years of individual speakers as well. Nothing like the OP's speaker, though...
