Thyristors SCR Replacement for SCR IRC20 or NTE5455

Looking for a replacement for an SCR 1RC20 Thyristors/Silicon Controller Rectifier. The only thing I could find is an NTE5455 which I would like to avoid for obvious reasons. Here's the spec sheet for the NTE version - http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/300/nte5452_58-73460.pdf

typo in the title...1RC20 is correct

Anybody have any idea of a quality replacement?

I don't see why any 200v 4A SCR with the right power rating would not work. Do make sure it is an SCR you need and not a Triac. Triac controls on both + and - half of the AC line.

Agreed. If you really want to make it bulletproof you could get one with a higher PRV, maybe 400V. I doubt you'll find one in the old TO-8 package the original had.
 
Looks good to me, if it will fit where the old one went it should work. That's a sensitive gate SCR, meaning it takes less gate current to trigger than a standard SCR, but that shouldn't hurt anything.
 
.8v and 50ma gate trigger is what the original shows to be as well so it seems to be nearly an exact match on specs...I'll pick one up and see if I can make it fit though :-)
