Tivo Remote Code for McIntosh C2300

Years ago I programmed my Tivo remote to handle Volume and Mute on the C2300. Now I have bought another Tivo remote and can't get the Mute function programmed into it. The Tivo specified McIntosh remote code 1160 does not work and of course I don't remember what code I had used initially.

Worse yet, when it did not work, I suspected the new remote to be faulty, so I attempted to program the 1160 into the original remote, which deleted the function and neither remote now works with McIntosh.

There is a procedure to cycle through the hundreds of possible codes to hit the right one, but it is clunky and time consuming. It is not a learning remote.

So I am asking if anyone knows the correct (or alternate) McIntosh code for Tivo remote. Thanks.

Try posting this over at the Tivo Community forum. Get the model number of the remotes you're trying to program and I bet someone will help you out.

Thanks, I will. I figured I'd first post here because it may be easier to find a Tivo owner among McIntosh owners than a McIntosh owner among Tivo owners.
