The Deller Consort

The Bach Guild

18th Century obscene tunes.

Nice picture. I like the TT, I used to have one of those.

But the picture shows the center text clear and it gets fuzzier the farther out you go.

Nice touch!

"Five Hand Reel, UK Rubber RUB 019. Disappointing, put back after one side."

I saw 5 Hand Reel many years ago when Dick Gaughan was in the band. They had just brought out "For A'That", which was a cracking album. Apparently there were lots of legal wranglings and I don't think any of it is available on CD.

I recommend:
John Renbourn "The Black Balloon" and "The Hermit"
Dick Gaughan "Redwood Cathedral" and "Sail On"
The Albion Band "Rise Up Like The Sun"
Fairport Convention "Full House" and "In Real Time" (both live)
Moving Hearts "Moving Hearts" -- Christy Moore on vocals, amazing interplay between Davy Spillane (uillean pipes) and Keith Donald (sax). Some iffy songs but the musicianship is superb.
Dan Ar Braz "Heritage des Celtes" (Breton, I know, but a stellar line-up of folk-rock talent)
Alan Stivell "A L'Olympia", "Again" (reworking of his old stuff), and "Zoom"

The only Dick Gaughan solo LP I have is 'Coppers and Brass' on UK Topic. I just played a side tonight...what a fantastic guitar picker!

The Fairport LP you are thinking of is 'House Full' on Hannibal. It is a reworking of 'Live at the LA Troubadour' on UK Island Help 29. I have both versions. 'Full House' was a studio LP.

Started back through Electric Muse. But some cuts need a skip forward button.

My TT doesn't have one of those.

This isn't out on CD is it?

You're right, of course, about the Fairport album. There's some interesting sleeve notes on the CD re-issue (Led Zep and Peter Grant showing up)

There were two CD reissues. The 1991 reissue was a straight CD version of the Hannibal. The 2001 reissue included two tracks from the 1977 Island original as a bonus.

Wolfstone: The Half Tail
Dougie MacLean: RIOF
Capercaillie: Beautiful Wasteland
Deanta: Whisper of a Secret
Deanta: Ready for the Storm
Kate Rusby: Hourglass

Well, it would have been English folk music, if everything had gone according to plan!

There was a Cd release on Castle as The New Elecrtic Muse which appeared to be essentially the same. I did a quick check and do not seem to find a current edition.

Just had a look. The version I have is Hannibal 1986 (at least that was the remastering date). 8 tracks, with apparently some different takes to the LP version. I don't see a release date on the CD, so it could be 1991, I guess.
