Trading SP-2500's for GTE Sylvania AS125's?

I was at a thrift store on Friday and asked one of the volunteers if, by chance, they had any old stereo's in the back room - the volunteer said we have that old Sansui and pointed to it just inside the door (about 5 feet from where I was standing).

It was a Sansui QR-4500 with four Sansui Sp-2500's, and the manager sold it all to me for $20. She said it had been there about a year. I cleaned up the receiver and replaced a fuse and it works great - looks great too! The SP-2500's don't garner good reviews here and I did, indeed, find them to sound rather "flat".

They are well built but my apartment is small and I simply don't have room for them. I was thinking of trading them to a local pawn shop for a couple of GTE Sylvania AS125's that need refoaming. My experience with the Sylvania's was favorable. Is there any shame in doing so?

Thank you!

You should try selling the SP-2500's. Maybe then you could buy the other speakers and have money left over for lunch or something.

Or, just trade them in. I would not keep them either.:D
