Tube rolling in my PrimaLuna Prologue One

New to the world of tubes, but so far I'm really loving my new-to-me PrimaLuna Prologue One.

For kicks, I'm thinking of trying some new tubes (it's all stock right now). I was thinking of starting cheaply - with either the 12au7s or 12ax7s. Just wondering which change will impart a more noticeable difference.

Thoughts and recommendations?

What brand tubes are in it right now? IMHO - if they are from china, nearly any vintage tube will sound better.

They are all the stock PrimaLuna tubes - Chinese made.

I would roll some 12AU7's in there first. Lower cost to see if you like swaping tubes. I prefer 5963 grey plate.

I would email Upscale Audio and get an opine. They designed/sell the amp and Kevin has retubed many. What will be 'best' depends on the rest of your rig. :thmbsp:
