I am a big time UFO fan and I finally picked up their live album (CD format) released a couple of years ago.

Man what some classic performances! These guys can rock (great recording too)!

Picked up a used copy of Lights Out last year; now looking for Strangers In The Night. Saw them open for Blue Oyster Cult in '78... in Beaumont believe it or not. Great show!

I saw them in 1977 at the old Electric Ballroom/Palms at 27th & State in Milwaukee. At the time they had just released Lights Out. Just drove by there a week or so ago, all boarded shut.

The place was packed with hot sweaty bodies. I think my wife and I both got a cold after that show.

Do you have Walk On Water? It came out in 1995 and Michael Schenker is on it. The guitar riff on Knock Knock is one of my favs of all time.

Yes, I think that is the first album he came back to play on. Archer and Edwards also joined on "Medicine Head".

too bad they couldn't keep it totally together after that...

Of course I have most of their studio albums. I've never seen them in concert (Damn) but this live compilation sure is a great album!

I guess it helps being from the area but at the beginning of Stangers in the Night the "Hello, would you please welcome from England....U..F..O" always gives me chills. Schenker is one of my favorite guitarists and "Walk on Water" has always been an album I have told people about, can't believe it has been out since 1994. Phenomenom has also been one of my favorites. The album just showcases how well a talented musician can structure a song to start out simple and slow but then build up for a strong finish. Cherry is another one of my favorites, oh and Let it Roll.....etc...etc...etc

And when Moog sings Lights Out on Strangers In The Night you find out where it's at - "Lights Out, Lights Out Chicago......."

I've turned alot of people on to UFO by playing Strangers In The Night too. It's my favorite live album.

We used to Rock out to "Rock Bottom and Natural Thing" at most of the keggers of my youth. To me, they are a signature rock band and one of my top 5...

I really enjoy turning on some of my sons college friends to good rock. Of course I raized them on Led, Montrose, Queen, Thin Lizzy, etc, but I put on this live album the other night and they just went ga ga over it. Of course we rocked out for a few hours on several tracks from several albums.

I have a great Navy story involving UFO. Our ship was in dry dock at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard for about a year and a half from 1979 - 1980 and we had to stay in the barracks on base. I was an ET but me and some other guys from my division used to hang out with some guys in the supply division. 3 of these guys had one room to themselves and constantly partied. There were 2 stereos set up - one on each side of the room. And of course, mass quanties of beer was drank EVERY night! One of the guys had a copy of Stangers In The Night and we listened to that record EVERY night and I mean it was cranked. I can't remember what kind of equipment they had but it was either Pioneer or Marantz from that time period so it was pretty good stuff. They played that record so much that they had to go buy another copy because they wore the first on out. The big LA rock station at the time, KMET, played UFO all the time too. Now you never hear them get played.

Come to my house tonight and you will hear them (BYOB)! Breaking in the new Primaluna Prologue 7 monoblocks with UFO. Kyle's (son) buddies are playing air guitar as I type!

A couple more beers and I'm sure I'll have them convinced they are the best R&R band of all time! Or my 6.5s will blow...

Yes, I remember Mogg singing "Lights out in Beaumont"... always gets cheap applause.

I first heard/ saw UFO in 75 ? on Kirschner rock concert or Midnight Special or what ever it was called and instantly became a fan,the sound of schenkers guitar always blows me away.

Force It gets my vote for greatest hard rock album of all time, have listened to it more than any other album and it still sounds as great as it did back then.

After Force It get No Heavy Petting and Phenomenon.I bought them on used 2'fers
from Ebay or Amazon. One has Phenomenon/Force It and another has No Heavy Petting
with Lights Out.Also the sound might be better than the older issues.

Also I think the pre schenker stuff is pretty cool.Very raw sounding but I like
Ufo,Live and the 2nd album, don't remember the title at the moment.

If you are a big schenker/old scorpions fan, schenker is on Lonesome Crow, before
Phenomenon and it is the best scorpions album imo, nothing else sounds quite like it.
I had a german pressing and it sounded fantastic, the cd sounds excellent too.

Forget the current hard rock, the gems are to be found from the 70s.

Always loved UFO...Saw them a couple of times. One of my favorites was a triple bill in Cleveland...UFO/Heart/Ian Hunter.

I thought I was buying a UFO cd at a yard sale...misread it, it was 'LFO'. disappointing.

...not to be confused with 'Flying Saucer Attack'...
