I picked up a voice of music console. It has a se el84 amp with tube rect. Anda single 6eu7 preamplifier tube.

Now the downside the power cord was cut off and I tested to see if I got a ohm reading at the power cord
and I didn't. How do I test the power transformer with out plugging in?

Some of these console amps have an electrical interlock with the record player or tuner; if this is so for your amp, this has to be jumpered to complete the power connection to the transformer. So check for that first. Otherwise, this might help you:
