Hooked on Horn's and Tubes. Go big or go home
Can't wait, Satriani could pull it off
Not to sure the rest of the band can though

For sure, Huge Satriani fan. seen him Many times at the Beacon theater NYC
They need a great front Man/Singer. Hagar was great 20 yrs ago, not sure he can still hit it
most 60's,70's and 80's singers Loose their edge. IE DLR , Even Daltry One of my Fav's can't come close.
I guess there's nothing 50-70 yrs old that performs like it did 50 yrs ago.Including People.

No, just no. I saw them on the 1984 tour, and I'm glad I did. Without EVH, now there is no point in continuing, beyond yet another money grab. Watching DLR's current bizarre soft shoe act and his clear inability to carry a tune does not interest me in the slightest. Sadly, VH had their chance in the 1990s to reunite and do a couple of good albums and a farewell tour then, but blew it for a variety of reasons (personalities, substance issues).

I deliberately didn't see them on the last tour (Different Kind of Truth) because DLR was clearly past it (check out a few Youtube videos if you don't believe me), and for the reason of their decision to exclude Michael Anthony, who belonged there as bassist/vocalist, not EVH's kid. All that said, though, I would buy a live album from the 1978-1984 era in a heartbeat, and any unreleased material too.

"Former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has announced his retirement from music. In a new interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal, Roth – affectionately known as Diamond Dave – announces that he's “throwing in the shoes”. “This is the first, and only, official announcement,” he says in the rather brief reveal.Oct 4, 2021"

I'll go see it regardless, DLR opened for KISS two years ago and I didn't have a problem with the vocals, I've seen him so many times I'm more into the evolution of the band and know 90% of my old bands can't hit the high notes anymore. I feel like Newsted and Satch both do back-up vocals and one of them can fill in the highs, I'm sure that's why they were brought on.

Would I love to go back to the 80's when these guys were in their prime, heck ya, but it ain't gonna happen.

So my Van Halen Story is, there was a super creepy bar a hair south from where Newsted grew up by the old drive-in in Battle Creek, nobody was ever there. I talked my buddy into stopping in and checking it out, who knows, maybe Newsted had a corner table after joining Metallica. The bar tender looked like a 90 year old John Huston, nobody was there so I put on some Van Halen on the juke box. The song got stuck on repeat, it just kept playing and playing. My buddy said the pea soup was good but that was a surreal evening....

It's like going to see Rush with a different drummer. No thx. I saw them 3 times during their prime, then once with Hagar. Thats enough for me.
