After a little more then a week of waiting for my HSU STF-2 sub to arrived, I was anxious to to test to sub after integration and was very satisfied until today. When I was ready for a listening session, I notice that the sub was not producing sound. The LED light was green but no sound so first thing I check to see if by accident the speaker lead wire disconnected and was connected. Next I check the driver and check out good. I started looking around circuit board and sure enough their is a couple of culprits around the PS caps.

And underneath the PS cap lead

Looks like someone has been in there before. I'm guessing these leads go to transistors that were replaced. Are they originals? Are they the correct replacements?

I assume this is a used unit since they don't make them anymore. I have a Hsu VTF-2 and it is not only a fantastic performer, it's been trouble-free for over many years. The company supports their stuff so I would suggest contacting them.

Thanks for the responses. It was a risk not knowing the condition it was in. When I first plugged it in and test it on the same day, there was sound. Next day I was ready for another listening session and no sound.
