Vintage Cerwin Vega

i have a pair of the 316r wich i have in basement after further inspection they will need to be refoamed, iam going to try and refoam them, iam glad to hear that these are good speakers,, only other thing someone had painted the cabinets with white paint ??? dont know why, but iam sure will be easily stripped and reoiled, thanx Dragon
 
I had a pair of the 313's too, back in early 1980. I had just moved out to Phoenix AZ, and found the CV's at Costco (or one of those type stores).
The downside is I only had them about 4 months, as mine were stolen in an apartment burglary. Lost a total of about $1600 worth of equipment & music which was fully covered except for a small deductible.

I later bought a Pionner Sx-780, along with a matching TT & cassete deck, and it was a little cheaper - close out deals.

Anywho, I still have a photograph of that system at home before it disappeared. Now enjoying the beautiful WI weather in 2006!

I placed a "Want it Now" ad on eBay and have had a few interesting replies. Nothing I want to jump at yet...

Can't decide on whether I want 12TR's or the long sought after 316R's. Wouldn't mind finding a pair of 15T's either. :D Decisions, decisions... :scratch2:

Had an offer for a pair of 316r's in Las Vegas for $200. The cabinets look decent and they need refoaming. Just can't find the time to drive the 10 hours there and 10 hours back...

My das wants to get the same speakers he bought back in 1978. I’ve sent him a couple possibilities. What are the 312s folks are talking about in this thread?

All I keep coming across are the E-312s from the 90s
