Vintage gear that makes you say "Wow"...

Here are two pieces I’ve been looking for and finally purchased a week ago from a Canuck member near Toronto
Samson D-1500 RTA
Samson D-2500 Equalizer
Came with the midi cables so the two units communicate together. The original owner kept them in mint condition.

We are getting some high-end gear at the new local car audio store.
They are getting into home theaters and home audio.
I will finally get the chance to hear some of the speakers you guys talk of.
I'm in an audiophile wilderness here.
I highly doubt there are many vintage guys around.
My wow moment was hearing my first big Altec speakers and vintage tube amps.
I had a pair of JBL ,a pair of k horns and some heresy's at the time.
All of those are gone and the house is full of Altec and Altec inspired diy speakers.

And Kenwood receivers are underrated when compared to Pioneer, Marantz and Sansui.Which I feel is unjustified.
Only one reason for it: "Darlington". Unavaliability of out put Darlington type powerpacks, for most Kenwood heavy receivers. Reason I stayed away from them. (Although I did buy two Kenwood KA-7300's with TA-80W powerpacks bye the way?)
Other then that. Indeed, some of the best sounding and looking 70's receivers or integrates ever are 'Kenwoods'.
But this also means that due to a scary image; the Kenwoods with just discrete outputs are also relatively cheap compared with the other brands you mention ;)

Can't help but be reminded of these -- which I had in my cars in high school.

Vintage car audio can make you say "Wow!" occasionally also! :)
