One of my customers called me today and asked if I'd be interested in a Magnavox console he has. They're getting new furniture & there's no room for it. Told me it was 50 years old & TOTL. 1) I can't afford $50 2) I have no place for it. From the sound of things, it's mint. I'm also guessing tubes. I'm gonna stop after work & give it a look anyway...told him I knew a few guys who might be interested
Glad I didn't post in the tube forum. It was mighty clean all right...and a fine example of the "Astro-Sonic" series. Pulling the back away a tad and shining my little light in showed no gleam of tubes...unless they look like a finned heatsink. Sounded nice, though. TT needed overhaul. Oh, well....
