So I am going through my fathers gear that was boxed up, and I opened a nirvana of equipment that is in major mint shape. I started with the onkyo gear, take my time hooking everything up from the m508 to the p308 along with the tuner, not a scratch, even the dark wood sides are polished and clean. I power them up, and wow. the green glow of the amp, with the pre right above it, They all worked to the tee. So i do some more digging and I come across his Yamaha gear, his EQ-1100u with the mic, and his yamaha digital sound field processor dsp-1 along with the 2/4 chn power amps the m-35. then I almost fainted when i found the remotes all working. I hooked them all up, with the eq taking some time to get right, and I have to say, for a system that was built in the 80's It holds its own againts mine updated mcintosh systems. My last find was his turntable the denon dp-47f, again not a scratch, with the dark moh wood just singing. I just cant beleive i had all this gear just sitting in their boxes this whole time. the only question is now, what room am i going to install this in my house.

You never know what you can find when you go looking

You can send them to me and I'll store them free of charge. :D

Just Kidding! It's a nice and rare find indeed. I have Onkyo M-508 and the bigger brother M-510 which are both awesome. They are good stuff made in the mid 80s where Onkyo is competing against the U.S made counterparts.

Congrats on your Inheritance (Heirloom)!

thanks  the m-10 is a beast. its just nice to see yesterdays gear, still hold up great. But this is kinda of a unfair statement since this stuff is, like brand new. but just to see one of the first dsp units and that it alows you to really design your sounds is amazing
