Vintage speakers. What are they?

See these speakers for sale cheap. Look like high end back in the day.
Anyone recognise them? Hope the attachment works, my first post here!

Update: The person selling the speakers says they are Sansui, on checking
on the web it looks like they are

My first thought was Sansui, too. I vaguely remembered these from back in the day.

Look exactly like the Sansui SF-2. A couple pairs on the local CL listings for around $200-225. Nothing too great about the sound in my opinion.

Ran across an e-classified ad' titled, "Sterio Speaker". I almost didn't even check it out. Did tho. Info said, 'Both are in excellent condition... ', but little else. Price (& obo) suggested lower end. I clicked the thumbnail, and my attention was piqued.
Woodie.
They (SB-E100 Technics) came with their original manual. Couldn't (in good conscience ) even haggle down 10%. The elderly seller was happy they were going to somebody who appreciated his "...babies."

"Momma made..." him sell after they'd moved into an 'apartment'.

Here's the enlarged thumb. The ad' had been in for weeks, and the counter indicated only a handful had viewed.

I think those particular Technics model speakers are very collectible, at least they are in Australia. Technics (Matushita Co) actually was a huge company and did a lot of R&D into speaker design and sound and had some good success in the mid range price market, a lot of good reviews and success with their New Class A Integ Amps too. Matsushita helped design the VCD standard (videoCD) in 1993 along with Sony Philips and JVC.

Those are long sought after Technics speakers for sure- I have always wanted to hear a set of them- they look very good and sonically appealing! A high water mark for Technics for sure!

I have a pair of these speakers.....they are more of a novelty, but do put out OK sound....invest your money on better speakers....my 2C worth

dc270 they're worth a listen. Jazz, classical & vinyl in particular sound pretty good. Bass is a little thin. My ear's not so hot (& they're replacing Def'Tech' BP20's) but, I don't think they're Jacks of all genres. I want to hear them with tubes real bad. Norah makes me melt/bluegrass makes me cringe. An old Martin's bliss tho. Simple acoustic & vocals :thmbsp:

Kinda like those XXLMAN. Nice collectors pieces, if not daily drivers, for the Sansui fans. My wife would be putting plants on them tho. Cheap enough I would likely pick them up. What did you decide?
