I recently bought a Zenith stereo console in need of a little love. I'm new to this scene and looking for some help finding any information I can about it. Model number X958D. Found a manufacture date of 11-7-66. Chassis number is 26XT20. Thanks in advance...

Thanks! All I'm sure of so far is that the radio works. The lady I got it from said the record player sounded scratchy(?) and that the turntable was sluggish.

I'd really like to get everything in working order!
I can handle any refinishing that needs to be done.

In short, it needed a complete servicing years ago. And that Garrard Unimech is going to be a major PITA.

Turntable needs the old petrified grease cleaned out and new grease. Rubber parts may need replacing too.

Sams folder 893-9 covers the electronics.

The 12" speakers may be 49CZ852s. They are great in open baffles.

If in good condition those Zenith alnico drivers are worth around $200. They won't sound near as good in that console as they would in simple open baffles.
