Well, I loved my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, but it was time to trade it in. My one and only regret in buying the Cherokee - I didn't spend the extra few thousand for the Trailhawk package.
I had been considering replacing with a new Cherokee Trailhawk. But this truck was sitting on the dealer's lot, and there were some deals on Grand Cherokees right now, so instead we got this new 2020 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk last week, with the tow package and 5.7 Hemi Engine.
We went test driving last Thursday night - we didn't plan to drive the vehicle home - but we were out of there in a couple hours time. The first photo - was last Friday - we went back to the dealer with a box to grab my stuff out of the Cherokee. Kind of sad to see it go.
But we absolutely love our new Grand Cherokee so far. My wife is a lot shorter than I am, and every time I got into the Cherokee after she drove it, I'd have to spend time fiddling with the seat and side view mirrors trying to get back to my comfortable position. I was delighted that the Grand Cherokee has memory seating/mirrors for two drivers. Wow, she drives the Grand Cherokee - and I touch the memory button and everything goes back to how I like it - even tunes the audio system to my preferred station.
The one disadvantage? The Grand Cherokee is thirstier than my Cherokee - however, we don't drive nearly as many miles as we did 3, 4 years ago so it won't be a big deal. And I do have 7200 lbs of towing capacity, a significant upgrade from the Cherokee, and it's got the air suspension which automatically levels, so there shouldn't be any sag in the back when I am towing a trailer with a heavy tongue.
A new off road park is opening this summer in Holly, which is local for us - so I'll take the GC over there to play a few times I'm sure.
