Welcome! There is no better place to take the pulse of the audiophile community!

Welcome! I found some of the old "Audio Basics" newsletters invaluable when rebuilding/improving an H/K T60 turntable, and I've been fascinated by the various modifications you've done to Dynaco and Hafler equipment over the years.

Wow - very cool new addition. Welcome aboard!

All of us at Audio by Van Alstine thank you for your warm welcomes. We are excited to be hosting a forum on Audio Karma.

I am glad we finally got here. Thanks, Wayner

Thanks much for the warm welcomes, nice members.

It was Wayne's urging that got me to take the plunge.

I will try to answer any general or troubleshooting questions here, based on my nearly 50 years of experience designing and building audio components.

Hope you saw the notice that we have been about to take $400 off the price of our amazing Ultravalve vacuum tube power amp.

I will definitely check in here very often.

I think its a win win situation for both AKers and manufactures when we can interact
directly.
Glad to see the latest addition.

Welcome to AK! I bought my first AVA component, a FET Three circuit kit for a Dynaco PAT-5 preamp, back in 1988 after visiting Frank's shop and hearing his equipment in action. Since then I've bought several more preamp upgrades, a power amp, a DAC, and his famous Longhorn Grado phono cartridge, and I hope to buy another electronics upgrade or two as soon as my upgrade budget is large enough.

Its great to see you here, Frank and Mary!

I've always admired AVA for your no-nonsense approach and daring to voice your components using long-term ABX testing with your ABX box. Its great to see a conpany that discards the voodoo and leaves the music behind by straddling the meter-reader world and that of the subjective.

Now, if only you guys made a compact low-power integrated at a lower price point with no concession to sound...
