Well I I thought I'd start a post welcoming back a forum member that use to be a regular here on ak but hasn't been active for awile. Sometimes life gets us busy and we tend to drift away to otherthings but none the less some of the longtime regulars(especially the people that frequented chat) know him well. With that I say welcome back Jim and don't be a stranger :thmbsp::banana::music::smoke:

Nice to be able to stop in again, folks, as I'm recovering from a stroke I had on Sat. night on Super Bowl weekend, and it will be a life altering event !
Thank goodness for music though, as I couldn't speak or even walk for a week, but I could listen to my tunes, and still think, and when I listen to music, dream.
Been a few months now, and I can't hired to read any audio books, but it's a whole bunch better, and enjoying daily process.
Hoping we won't have to move to down size, like an apt. from our home, but it has been really hard to keep up on all the work that a home requires, which I never really seem to notice before the stroke ! If that happens, I'll have to find a new home for my McIntosh set-up, but we'll be have it goes moving forward.
Other than that, not much being going on lately, but it's been way too long since I've been here, sharing our common love for music and the gear we use to make that happen !
Hope to be able to spend a bit of time around friends, once again, here at AK !
Thanks for the welcome back post as well; makes a man feel good that he's not so easily forgotten !

Hi jim, and thanks for finally responding to my post:thmbsp:
I hope things work out for you and you don't have to sell and downsize but you gotta do what you gotta do.I I had to downsize just recently when I moved to a smaller place myself.as for selling those prized mc30's Jim along with probally the imf's why would you do that?

Give me shelter and food and I'll be there:smoke:

Anyways Jim if you ever just want to talk I'll email you my phone number.take care my friend and 73's for now.

Thanks Chris, and we'll have to have a nice " land-line " QST, eh !
The future is still unclear, but we're taking everything "one day at a time" for now, and we're hopeful for today !
My biggest bummer, besides the MC30's, is there to hang my ant. in an apt.! VF is OK, but I sure miss my 20meter rag sessions on the Collins KWM-2, if you know what I mean ?
Later, my friend, and Howdy to Gary too !

For sure Jim.I seemed to have forgot about the kwm 2. As I mentioned earlier I moved to a place where I can't put my trusty alpha delta dx ultra antenna up.I am looking into possibly a vertical or well brook loop antenna.there are those alternatives if you should move to a apartment.
