Wharfedale W90 question..

Hello, I am trying to decipher what year my W90 speakers are that I recently obtained. I will try to post some pics..(I have never been very good at this, so apologize in advance if they come out badly). The screens (grills) are made of metal, not cloth, and I have determined after removing the back panel, that the speakers are "Alcino" drivers. Again, just not certain of "year" these were made? Also, the speaker input was a unusual "one hole" input which I had to bypass to get them to work. Incredible sounding by the way!
Thanks in advance for any info on these..

Look on the back of the speaker cones. You will see white characters hand written . They give a clue to the date . So, if you see for example, 9/62 that means September 1962.

The dates on the speakers will be prior to the cabinet manufacture which makes sense.
The tweeters may differ from the midranges and the woofers for date, but any given speaker size will likely be a match in date.

My w90 even had a date in pencil in the upper section of the cabinet.

The second last image above of the woofer has some marks. Is that 9 62 I see???? These are beauties, and definitely from the early days so 62 seems right.

BTW Wharfedale supplied the hardware to various regions, and let the cabinets be built locally.

My early w70s with those same alnico drivers are marked 10/62, so yours might be the similar. As the others have said, there should be white wax or chalk markings on the backs of all of the cones and on the front of the supertweeter 3s. Month and year for each speaker will be marked clearly. The woofers also usually have a code, which I think identifies the series, size of woofer and number of ohms, but I don't really know definitively.
