What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Sweet rig BB. Can’t go wrong with that label IMO. Maybe Living Stereo or TELARC can compare but not much else for classical music

Thanks. Yours is not exactly chopped liver. That's one fine vinyl engine you have there. I always like Technics.

When I was in college, Deutsche Grammophon was the gold standard. The buzz back then was that they would record a concert dozens of times and go note by note selecting bits and pieces from all the concerts to make one perfect score from all of them combined through massive editing. That's probably a load of dung, but as college kids, we bought it! :)

When I used to listen to WQXR NY City back in the 80s and 90s, they usually played TELARC digital discs. They made that very clear every time they played a Telarc disc, and that was 80 percent of the time. And when it came to Mozart, it was always "The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields conducted by sir Neville Marriner". Always.

They kind of set the standard on that for me as a young person coming up into Classical. KJAZ did the same for me in Jazz record collecting. My cable TV system back then had an FM TAP and they pumped in WQXR Classical NY and KJAZ Jazz San Francisco. KJAZ is long gone, but WQXR is still going strong.

Listening to Muddy Waters while trying to find out why there is muddy water in my basement, trying to stay ready for what happens next....................

Drinking TNT

Smoking Dynamite

Hope some screwball starts a fight............

We now have KCSM for Jazz. It’s close enough I can pull it in with my tuner. Believe it or not we have no classical station up here in NorCal. I got the heads up about TELARC from reviews on analog planet.com. One of the few digital to vinyl labels they endorsed
I bought Robert Shaw’s THE FIREBIRD. Been collecting ever since

I do listen to KCSM via stream on occastion. It is a good Jazz station with zero commercials and wonderful DJs.
I especially like Michael Burman and his show "Jazz Oasis" every Saturday at 6 PM Pacific.

Now that I mention it, I missed Michael's last two shows, but I can stream them via ARCHIVE HERE.

They are 3 hour shows, so only time for one today. I'll save one for tomorrow. I am glad you mentioned KCSM. Now I have the rest of my morning set.

I like the morning show a lot. Especially Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is usually my jazzy day for some reason. Like to keep it mellow
