What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

*munches on popcorn... :lurk:

I don't drink pop/soda much anymore, but awhile ago when I visited my friend, he gave me one of these Canada Dry ginger beers to try (below). It actually has a spicy kick to it. It's not as spicy as Jamaican ginger beer (that stuff legit makes me sneeze lol), but it'd be a nice substitute for when you want the same flavour, but not as much spice. If you like ginger ale, I'd suggest giving it a try. It has much more flavour and kick than your typical run-of-the-mill ginger ale.

I used to buy speaker cabs that were loaded with 1968-'71 pre-Rola Celestion "Greenback" G12M speakers before the world found out about the cabs they were in. Most of the time the cabs were rarely played much, so the speakers weren't completely shagged out like the ones found in vintage Marshall cabs. Back when I was selling them, $400-$500 per speaker was easy money and they'd always sell within about a day or so. You can imagine what four in a cab would amount to. Now, they're being sold for as much as $800 per speaker. I'd usually buy those cabs in the $80-150 range, but the word is slowly getting out about them, so the pickings have been slim the last several years.

If you don't know, the Celestion "Greenback" is arguably the most legendary guitar speaker ever made. It's the voice of countless legendary albums, and is quite literally a speaker that almost every popular music-loving person on the planet has heard, whether they know it or not.

Sweet. Now i know what to look for hahahaha. Seriously though im always looking for unbranded cabinets i can get cheap just to see whats inside. I have quite a few 50s, 60s & 70s 12" woofer pairs in my workshop waiting for the right project. I always research what i find to make sure im not underselling what i have. I sold those electrovoice mids & tweets in one day. I should have kept them just because they looked so sweet but i already have so many mids & tweets i figured id let someone that wanted them more than me enjoy them. Ive been a reseller for 40 years so i can usually guess the value of most things just by looking at the build quality and design but i still look everything up just to be safe.
