Not endorsing the vid CG,just something i found in response to a question.People argue endlessly about record cleaning etc,i just use v mild organic cleaner and lots n lots of rinsing, but if too scratched-unplayable.
Wasn't giving you a hard time. Its a good post. I just disagreed with a few details based on my personal experience. It is a many roads to the same goal kind of topic.

Honey In The Horn
Al Hirt
Old Time Ballroom music that is extremely well played. The man could blow a horn. I feel like I should order a cocktail and ask my lady to dance! Al is certainly front and center, with Java providing the vocals.
RCA LSP-2733 (1963)

I recall our Super Mod @ehoove having posted this LP a few days ago and that he had enjoyed it,...enough to dance mind you. So yesterday, I did go back to GW to scour the well-picked over record bins. Sure enough the above LP was still there but upon closer inspection, it was well-worn and scratched, missing its inner sleeve (I croak when I see this!,...aaargh), so I had to take a pass on it.

Anyway, I kept digging as I had seen other Al Hirt LPs there. Sure enough, under the table was this one. Clean, NM-. Thanks for the tip @ehoove.

Ray, where in North Georgia? My dad has a house in the NC mountains south of Franklin and 3 miles north of th GA border. We visit there fairly often. If it was up to me, We'd move there! GORGEOUS area. Gotta convince the wife though....

Yes, we used to go to Franklin a lot. A relative worked in Otto. The drive up 441 is awesome on a bike, Miata, Jeep, etc. Hope you get to move there. Closest town to us would be either Cleveland or Dahlonega.

I love the title! He is so smooth and liquid sounding. Should I look for this one?

@ehoove Absolutely! I found this one, too.
Check out the dried up, old, knarly masking tape on the shrick. I broke the masking tape seal to reveal an excellent LP. There was no inner sleeve at all and I typically will pass up these,... glad I didn't on this one.

EDIT: This LP played stellar. I was a little worried about the physical pressing as the vinyl is so thin and flimsy. The infamous DYNAGROOVE sound was actually quite brillant, had presence with little to no inner groove distortion. The track, 'The Happy Trumpet' was excellent, IMHO.
