Early hike today, walking the cliff edge on the Crimson Trail in Logan Canyon. Beautiful day.

Another acquisition strikes. I picked up a Taiwanese Nakamichi mini system after the hike. I've never had a mini receiver. There's one that has appeared several times recently in local ads.

I decided "probably not". Then another came up, last night.

Same receiver, with companion CD/cassette player and speakers, for a lot less. So I got it. At the very least the kids can sell it when I'm dead.
Playing the Prokfiev because it was in the player. I will clean the tape path before trying a cassette. FM is fine.
It makes 14 watts at 1 khz. Best of all, has preout/main in jacks. I could use it in main system while I pull and work on a few pieces. The speakers are lightweights but look good and sound OK. Cone tweeters.
