I remember this. That's where I lived as a child until around 1973 when my parents moved us out to the Conejo Valley area.

I lived at 11132 Wagner St. (click link) of course, that house didn't have the 2nd story addition when I lived there. However, my dad was a handy dude and could do anything. Including using a drafting table and generating detailed building plans. He was kind enough to give the family that bought the house his blueprints. I don't remember if it was that family or the next that implemented my dad's blueprints.

Roll forward to around the year 1997. Me and my own family were driving around Culver City and I was showing them my old stomping grounds. Drove by the house and the current owner at the time was out front. Pulled over and introduced myself and family. He brought us in and showed as around my old joint. Much off the single level part of the home was instantly recognizable. It was a nostalgic and emotional moment.

My parents sold that home for $45K back then. They purchased the home in the Thousand Oaks area for $42K. It was, from the get go, a much better home, it had central AC! 207 Venado Ave. (click link). That house is for the most part, unchanged.
The neighborhood looks familiar. We lived on FRANKLIN and the cross street was OVERLAND. There was a park on the corner.
