I've had a floater in the past and they eventually disappeared.
The recent one, couple months ago was after getting smacked upside the head by a big wave, while surfing.
It didn't hurt, but it was a big shock. I had to check to make sure I wasn't bleeding or anything.
When I got home I was seeing flashes of lights on the right eye.
The flashes stopped in a couple days, but the floater is still there.
