My very first rock concert was at Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, MI to see Kansas. It was in 1978 during their Point Of Know Return tour. I was 15yo. What an experience that was.

I saw them a year later on THE MONOLITH album tour. What I remember most was the violin being a big part of the music and the guitar playing of Kerry Livgren. Years later when I went to my first symphony I told my wife it reminded me of that KANSAS concert so many years ago

That's why I prefer the 24 Hr Lemans, the Darkar Rally and other races that are held on road and off road courses than the oval track races.

Just recently watched the documentary for the Movie LE MANS. During qualifying for the real race Derek Bell was clocked at 244 mph on that back straight. In a 1970 Porsche 917. Holy Sheet!
