What Record Are You Hearing Now?

Friggin' AWESOME!! I totally have the first U.S. Mercury pressing of that LP -- LOVED this band when I was younger (all the way through Adrenalize, pretty much). I also have, on vinyl:

On Through the Night
High n Dry
Hysteria

Here's the thing with Pyromania on vinyl -- ever since I got Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection on double CD, I can't go back to listening to Lep on vinyl...the remastered CD sounds SO much better to my ears than the LPs do, especially on Pyromania. Listening to the re-engineered version of "Photograph" on the CD is like hearing it for the first time...

For whatever reason, Def Leppard's LPs never blew my skirt up -- I took good care of each of them, but Pyromania and Hysteria, in particular, don't sound that great on vinyl to my ears.

Now, you're makin' me wanna do a good deep cleaning on these LPs and listen to them again, ETLS!

I give 'em a few laps before I spin 'em.

......

I wasn't familiar with this album and it was hiding in my "maybe" pile but I saw it somewhere and saw that it was somewhat sought after and valuable and realized "hey, I think I have that album". So now I'm hearing it for the first time. I love it when I find great stuff in my own collection!
