What time do folks normally eat Thanksgiving dinner?

A lot of people seem to eat really early, around lunch time at noon or 2 PM. I never liked eating a big meal that early. I am shot and lethargic for the whole day if I do.

It will only be me and my mom for dinner. We both normally eat late anyhow, and are only making a turkey breast and a few things, so we haven't even started thinking about dinner yet.

We served dinner at 15:45 ... I was planning for 4, but it was ready a bit earlier...
Dark Beer, mashed taters and fresh bread was on the counter ... just for 2.
I made the stuffing, and chopped onions and celery for the green bean casserole.
I helped Emma bag the turkey breast, but she made the gravy and all the rest.

I am working tomorrow - will log in at 7AM

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ya, we've always been early, around 1 or no later than 2 PM. That had a lot to do with sports I think.

Usually around 3 or so when we had the large family and friends crowds, but since it's just the two of us today just getting ready to sit down now.

Besides needing to use the turkey breast, I don't even know why we are making dinner. My brother and his new girlfriend dropped off a bunch of food last night, so we ate a decent amount then, and there is still a bunch left over.

Normally 5:00 or 6:00 but this year we did 2:00 cuz my daughter had to vist her boyfriend's parents for another round. We had a small 12 pound bird cuz it was only 5 of us. It will give us another meal and then a pot of turkey and wild rice soup.

We had it late in the day after 4 this year and I'm hoping that's going to be the norm from now on. For once becoming a lazy, carb laden slug didn't ruin the entire day

It was just me. Usually 2-3:00 but about noon this year. Spent the afternoon talking to kids using the PS 4. Worked very well.

To be honest, I am not a huge fan of turkey either. Sometimes it has a strong gamey taste and smell to it. It has to be done right or I have a hard time eating it. The one year my mom made it, it smelled REALLY strong, and I just refused to eat it. A few years ago, we went to a restaurant for Thanksgiving. The turkey was disgusting and inedible to me. It was like it was boiled or something.
