hi

i have the monitor audio 8 fronts centre
and if i was to use jbl 580 speakers as rears and additional rears
would they sound great and work seamelessly intergrate well with the montor audio
8 front and centre

or would the jbl 580 be better for front and centre speakers for hometheatre and music use
priority hometheatre thanks

It would be much easier for me to judge if I had them here to audition. Just sayin'
 
I don't know Monitor audio 8's but I do have the JBL 590's. I am extremely happy with them. The highs are crisp and clean, the mid's are lush and full , the bass is nice and tight. The more complex the music the more they shine. I listen mostly to Blues , Rock and Jazz. I've had them for about 7 months now.My wife still asks "where is the band" JBL -Harmon from time to time has a half off sale right now they have a sale on factory refurbished with free shipping. With a price 2/3s the price of the 580s.One drawback is they need room. Mine is 18.5' x 23' and they fill it. They also sound excellent at low levels. Harmon also told me they would pay return shipping if I was unhappy with them because there was no place to go audition them. Hope this helps you, let us know what you do Good Luck

Are you talking about the Silver 8 floor-stander?
