Double New Large Advents

sounds sweet! been hitting the thrifts and the public library for vinyl.

Just got a refurbished Luxman RX-103 Receiver. Very nice sound from this unit. Using Polk LSI-7's with excellent results as a bedroom unit. The servo is cool, but useless.

Akai 635B Reel to Reel, Harman Kardon FL8385 CD Changer & Sony SCD-2000ES CD Changer, Marantz 5025B Cassette, Sony PS-X5 Turntable.

Coolest part about these systems is they are piggy backed together, aux in...tape out... and can all be played at once as one big system. Each outfit has an EQ to really help bring it all together. Can also just play anyone of the systems as a stand alone too.

They are hooked-up together.
OK.
The speakers are arranged either side of this mega stack of equipment?

All eight pairs of speakers, plus the eight different multicomponent systems.
Wow.
That's a wall of sound.

Got any photos?

Primary system:
Yamaha CR 2020, Polk Monitor 10A, New Large Advent, Technics SL-D2, Elac Miracord, Sony CDP-C535, Hughes AK-100 (optional)

Secondary system:
Sansui 8080DB, Spica TC-60, Panasonic CDP, Hughes AK-100 (optional)

Tertiary system(s); garage, workroom, bedroom.

I just tried to upload a pic and it went to computer never, never land.

The set-up could be improved quite abit with a bigger room, but I get great sound without blasting the neighborhood.

The picture of the Phase Linear gear is my blast the neighbors

Sony 7065, B&O 3000 turntable & Bose 1st model 901 speakers.
It's what I had in 1973 & I liked them then. So after finding this forum I soon bought the same stuff again. I realize no one else likes Bose 901 speakers or the B&O 3000. But hey it's a start. & the memories add to the attraction. I still have my Infinity Qb's from 1975 also.

My office rig has the wonderful and mighty 185 wpc Marantz 2385 receiver :thmbsp: powering some Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers. The tuner section does a great job pulling in KUSC's classical broadcasts. The plan is to replace the Bronze 2's with some great-looking AR3a's. Eventually a Dual 1218 that was my father's will take up residence here too. The living room has a Kenwood KR-9600 and two sets of vintage speakers not yet set up, but waiting. The speakers are JBL's, a pair of 4813a's and a set of L100t3's.:music: The t3's are in black ash, supposedly a sign that they were sold exclusively to JBL employees. Can't prove it by me, but that's what the seller said. :scratch2:

As I type this, Creedence Clearwater Revival is providing the music courtesy of a Music Hall Mavervick:thumbsdn: non-superaudio cd player (the superaudio capability was nonfunctional from day one, despite two trips to repair service ). However, CCR always worked, as they are doing right now . . . :banana:Proud Mary . . . "rollin, rollin, rollin on a rivah.":beerchug::banana: That's A&W diet root beer in the mugs, although I've got Sam Adams Light in the fridge.

Ok, My system isnt even close to being as impressive as some of the many systems here but here goes anyways. This is my main system:

Rambler SA-3000 Integrated Amp
Toshiba Aurex PC-X88AD Cassette deck
Teac T-505 Tuner (Digital and analogue readout!)
Sony CDP-315 5 Disk CD changer.
200W Teac speakers (No model No, has "made under license of Polk audio" on them)

A Garrard 6.300 awaiting a stylus to join the system.

I'm happy with it considering it all was very cheap, the most expensive bing the cassette deck for $36. I did have a Technics tuner, its sound was a bit better than the TEAC but the transformer inside it vibrated and was extremely annoying.

Right now it's 12:35 AM and I am downstairs in my office checking my email before going to bed and bothering the Mrs.

Here in my office I have a Pioneer SX-1050 pushing a pair of HPM-900's and HPM-60's off my iTunes...

:music:

Vintage gear I'm currently using:

Technics SA-410 (garage)
Kyocera DA-410 (garage)

I used to have a Robertson 4010 amplifier but sold it this summer. Oh, and I'm expecting a Kenwood Basic C2 preamp to go in my main stereo next Monday (it'll be replacing a tube/transistor hybrid preamp that's just too noisy).

Ok, I have a Kenwood Ka-9100 hooked up to a pair of JBL 62 bookshelf speakers with a matching Kt-7500 tuner and a Kenwood KX-W8010 dual cassette deck. I hope to find a pair of JBL L100 Century Speakers to hook up to the Ka-9100. I also hope to find a nice Kenwood Kr-9600 receiver sometime.

Upstairs Listening room:

Yamaha B-2 VFET Amp

Yamaha NS-1000 speakers
