What was the last movie you watched?

War of the Worlds (1953)

I watched it not too long ago, but I needed some good 50s Sci-Fi so I watched it again.

The Criterion Blu Ray has some nice extras about the making of the film, including some in depth discussion on how the sounds and visuals were done.
One of my all time favorites!

Atlantis, The Lost Continent (1961)

This is some finely aged Cheese, it’s a great looking movie, Color, Widescreen, produced by George Pal, but it’s full to the brim with a lot of ridiculous dialog, miscast actors and bad acting.

Lots of fun though.

The six triple eight. Based on a true story of a woman and her battalion who made history during WWII. It doesn’t have all the blood and gore that some would like in a war movie but it brings to light another forgotten group of women who made a difference in so many families lives.
