What's the best online store to buy new/used CDs?

In the past, I've bought new/used CDs from online various sources.
How are the CDs at ebay's get_importcds? Are there sources that I should stay
away from because of pirating and low quality recording?
Thanks.

I usually order from Amazon Marketplace sellers ... read the feedback if you have concerns.

In my experience eBay is like the Wild Wild West ... anything goes. Got some super good deals there but you just have do your homework and apply some common sense. Measure twice cut once.

Buyers I like as an example are ... Import CD's ... Zoverstocks (UK based)

I've had outstanding customer service from the venders above

Amazon and the Marketplace sellers is my go to place. I tried Go Hastings for used and ended up sending back half my order of used disc due to condition being awful. I have not had any trouble with the Bay but you need to be cautious since most times it's not worth paying to send a bad disc back.

In addition to Amzn/ebay, I've also ordered from wherehouse.com during a sale with good success. FWIW if you are looking to get rid of CDs I really like abundatrade.

I have never had a problem with gohastings.com or in their stores. Very good service IMO and they will take back bad copies, not that I've had to.

Good to hear that ... I bought a Counting Crows "Gold Cd" from them once .... it was mislabeled on the site ... not a Gold Cd ... they refunded my money & let me keep the standard CD w/out having to send it back but I've not ordered from them since.

I've seen some product from time to time from them that I was interested in but gave it a pass ... maybe I'll give it a shot next time.

I've had the same experience with Hastings but I didn't even bother to contact them as the non gold CD I received was only about $3.

You cant go wrong with Amazon Marketplace, I have made quite a few purchases from discogs.com with good success. Only caution I would say there is pay attention to who you are ordering from. I have found that numerous small record stores are on discogs and will usually go to those first although the couple of individuals I have ordered from havent been an issue.

 I would think that term Gold CD would be understood my everybody but maybe not. Had the same thing happen with another vendor but believe they were a fly by night operation. They told me to keep the standard CD as well after a refund ... I just donated it to Goodwill.

Anymore I just send the seller a message asking if they are really selling a Gold CD ... "oops I was wrong" (for those who bothered to reply) is a response I've gotten more times than I care to mention. Buyer beware I guess.

I've used ImportCDs many times and have never had a problem. I will typically go through Amazon and then eBay and compare prices. Usually eBay wins but occasionally not.
Aside from cracked jewel cases from the Post Office doing their best to destroy whatever it is they're tasked to handle I've never had a problem.

i have bought hundreds of used cd's off Half.com .It's a ebay site but prices are always good . Also a good place to sell .

Several of the vendors mentioned have thousands of reviews on eBay. I have purchased many CDs from these vendors on eBay no problem. Purchased a rare CD from a guy in Russia (he had good reviews) other than taking longer than usual no problem. I first check Zia Records because it has local stores, then I check eBay. I've bought from Amazon but for some reason, like eBay better. If I am buying more than one I look around to see if vendor combines shipping, if not I go with lowest price. Sometimes lower price means slower mail. They say in the ad how they will ship. If there is question regarding vendor (small amount of sales) I read reviews.

I've purchased a couple thousand CDs over past few years, never had a problem with pirates or low quality.

I get a lot of new CDs from importCDs via their ebay site. Quality has never been a problem.

They're about half price and free shipping to Oz.

I have been using Amazon and ebay for some purchases. There are some quad Santana SACDs available from CDJapan soon. Anyone know how much shipping is likely to run if ordering directly from Japan ?

On a similar subject... I wonder where folks buy cheap, used SACDs? I have a player that plays these things but don't own any and would like to check that thing out. I'm open to different artists, genres, etc and I don't need specific titles, but would like to browse the cheap ones, if there is such a thing...
