What's the view like from your listening chair?

Aye when I built the speakers I chose the wood as close to the cabinet as possible. Additional varnish helped darken them further to make it a closer match. All black face components though with silver aluminium accents.... Heat sinks, power buttons, knobs, screws etc. I think aesthetically it almost looks as good as it sounds. Now I no longer have a turntable + phono stage it looks far less cluttered too :)

My system has evolved as far as it can so I'm in the middle of downsizing systems throughout the house. I'll end up with just this system and the 5.1 system downstairs for movies in the end.

I dig the psychedelic lights, but I'm curious about the setup there, with what looks to be two similar Marantz receivers..? I can't quite figure out how one would use two of those really similar components in the same system...

Yes, two Marantz receivers. One is a 2215b and the other is a 2275.

Both receivers are fed a signal from the CD player via Audioquest RCA splitters.

The 2215b is powering a pair of Klipsch KG-2.5s with Crites Ti diaphragms via the speaker level connections on a Klipsch SW10-II powered sub.

The 2275 has Cerwin-Vega VS-120s on the A side and Marantz Imperial 5s on the B side. There is also a restored Dual 1019 turntable connected to the phono input on the 2275.

I seldom use more than one pair of speakers at a time but each receiver/speaker combo has its own strengths and weaknesses. I decide which ones to use based on the music I want to hear. Having everything connected this way, I have a lot of flexibility and options but I don’t have to mess around with setting up different gear.
