Who let the dogs out?

Wigwam Jones

Caesar non supra grammati
Ah, I don't know what the hell happened. I was purty happy with just two mangy old cats around the place. Mrs. Wiggy was at the PetSmart in Rocky Mount, picking up some cat food and such, and the local animal shelter wuz giving these two away for adoption. Seems they had been found in a dumpster in Nashville (NC, not TN). A boy and a girl, about 10 weeks old. I mean, what kin I do? The Wigster's old heart melted.

Here's Molly, the girl. She has one blue eye and one brown eye. Well, I mean other than THAT brown eye. Oh, you know what I mean!

any idea what brand - uh, breed they are?

I think they're just mutts. Molly has two different-colored eyes, and I think that's a trait of Huskies, but she don't look much like a Huskie! That's ok, I love mutts - I'm a mutt!

I wanted to name them Pioneer and Kenwood, but Mrs. Wiggy put her foot down.

Best,

Wiggy

Can't beat puppies!

Don't even THINK of going and "just looking"!

Trust me, it doesn't work

Awwwwwww ! you done good, Perfesser Wiggy ! Just MAKE SURE they get their shots-ESPECIALLY Parvo. Parvo is taken care of w/a 10 buck shot, but they'll invariably get it-and die a horrible death-if you don't get the shot. My best friend is a vet, & I don't know how many times he's told me of little puppies dying from parvo. They basically crap themselves to death. They can be saved if gotten to the vet's fast enuff, but most times it's too late, & lotsa times the dogs are kinda stunted-if they do live- from the ordeal. -Sandy G.

Yes!!! wholeheartedly.....Our first puppy got the parvo...and its something I would not want to see again....

Even now... I can still hear her (Sheltie mix) crying in the middle of the night and not a damn thing you can do(she died the next day).....and that was almost 15 years ago.....

Damn...just thinking about it is bringing on the tears again......

Wigwam, you're a good man!!! :thmbsp:

Personally I think Pioneer & Kenwood would of made great names!!!

All: Thanks for the kind words and good wishes! Puppies are going to see the vet on Friday, they'll get whatever the doc recommends. However, they've already had parvo and a number of other shots, the adoption records came with a list of what they've had already. We're being careful, and especially since hearing the sad stories of those of you who have lost four-legged friends or nearly lost them! Thank you for the reminders! And no, this is not for the 'dutch oven' treatment I gave Mrs Wiggy last week - she says she has a special response planned for that, and I won't know until I know...sigh.

Best,

Wiggy
