Who made Realistic Pro 10 Cans?

A while back I was at an estate sale and found a laundry basket full of cables and abused headphones. The Koss Pro-4AA cans had a lot corrosion on the plug that was fixed by our old buddy DeOxIt and some elbow grease. In the rat's nest of cables and cans was a pair of Realistic Pro 10 headphones missing the screws that hold the cans to the headband. I just bought some screws today, fixed them and hooked them up to my SX-770 and they don't sound bad. Can anyone tell me who made these for the Shack?

Koss made a lot of rs headphones. I had a few.

Koss didn't make the Pro 10s. I believe it was a long-gone Japanese OEM named Elega, but that's a guess from memory.

Neat-looking headphones, though. This headphone also appeared as the NAD Model 12.

I'd seen the Pro 10 for sale on that big auction site but was never quite sure of their origin,so I never really felt 100% secure taking that leap of faith.

IMHO the absolute best of the Realistic headphones are the Pro50 which are infact AKG K250. I currently own two pairs of these and they are SUPERB headphones.
Only caveat w/those is the same with many vintage AKG's,and that's the fact that they are high impedence cans (600ohms) and need a good powerful source to drive them.

I had a pair of RS electrosat phones that were made by Koss. Nice looking, not so great sounding. On a plus side RS kept foam replacement ear pads in stock for them.
