That was my thought, too. No more design aesthetic than Mattel delivers to an 8-year-old girl.

Just looked this up on the MB site. That looks like "Storm Red Metallic." Those side exhaust thingies are part of the AMG package. Base price on the AMG model is $134k.

That is a lux'd up military vehicle.

Sure looks like it. I doubt I've run into them at CO G-Wagen events though unless they've recently upgraded to the AMG G.
BTW, my daily driver is an older G and I've already decided I'll be buried with it since it's easily got another 40 years of life left in it.

The color rendition on my monitor makes me think "Multiple coats of candy brandywine lacquer over a base coat of gold" which is an awesome hot-rod color.

Just in case you are not totally impressed with my $134K vehicle, I will make sure it is very ostentatious. Are you impressed?

Reminds me of something I saw a lot of in Cambodia. When a politician or other thief is rich enough to buy a Lexus, they paint the word "LEXUS" on both sides in very neat, foot tall letters. I'm sure they do it with Mercedes, too, but I didn't see any Mercedes there.

+1, except around here, $120 won't get you a house, ANY house. Hell, it may not even get you the house lot.

It'll get you one here. Even an adobe.
