Will this brush fit my Stanton 981 cartridge?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a brush to try out in my Stanton 981 cartridge, as it didn't come with one when I got it. I found this Stanton (the seller knows nothing about it) on eBay and was wondering if anyone knew if the brush would fit mine. Thanks for the help!

I think all Stanton brushes are the same other than the fact that some have black bristles and others, like those for the 981, have white bristles, so, yes,it;ll work.

Check inside the plastic part of your stylus grip. Sometimes the nibs are broken so won't hold the brush which is supposed to sort of snap in. That's one reason you might not have a brush.

Yes, probably but the aftermarket brushes seem to be made of boar bristles and have about one bristle for every 5 in a real Stanton brush. Really rough and they seem to stand stiffly on the record. I won't use an aftermarket brush but I like the real ones. Easy enough to see the difference in pictures.

Wasn't saying it was not a Stanton, just adding some info so others can tell for themselves if they want. It does look like a nice Stanton brush. It looked like the OP had the correct answer, yours, I just added that BS special touch. There finally, I got to use my initials in a thread. Wish others would, too. Folks seem nice using the first name or the whole name.
