Yamaha AV Controller App

I posted this in another thread as part of a different 7 Channel Stereo discussion but thot I would share it with other Yamaha users in case you are not aware.


For any Yamaha users, you may not know of this control below, its an app and much of the control can be visually run from the phone or tablet rather than the remote, its pretty cool for fading, balance and volume etc...

I have one Yamaha beef and that is Musiccast, don't even bother with this, I did a thread on the nightmare and the solution I found with the Firestick, Musiccast is absolutely terrible unless "I just don't understand", even if I don't to me is is nothing short of "user hostile".

Nice post Mearle, yeah you know, I've tired early on regarding Music Cast, and decided that through all the features .... I just don't benefit from any of it's conveniences especially when you factor in all the problems with it. The app IS nice though, I'll say that, and it does have features not found in the unit gui such as the extra bass. I really don't mess with it much as I rarely change my av settings, but it's always been my thoughts if I ever get a tablet I may install it on that and mess with it a little more. I really do like the real time positioning feature as pictured on the left of your post. Makes the app worth having in my opinion!
