Yamaha month at the GW!

About 2 weeks ago I stopped in at the closest gW to my house and found a virtually pristine CR-1020 for $50. Today I had to run a few errands over lunch and stopped at the same GW. What do I see but a CR-600 for $35.00. While it's not as pretty as the CR-1020, it's still in solid shape, with a near perfect faceplate. Pics to come after work.

I've seen references to the "GW" in this post and others. We don't have these in northern AZ where I'm at. For when I travel around, what the heck does GW stand for? Sounds like somewhere I'd like to visit!

"GW" = Goodwill
"SA" = Salvation Army

I found this thread very helpful.

Back on track - nice receiver finds. I wouldn't mind a classic Yammy for the bedroom or shop system.

Really! That CR-1020 makes my Thrusters sing (wait, wasn't that a line in Deep Throat...). But of course, I actually have the TURBO Thrusters! Yes, you may now be officially jealous. :D
 
DOH! I got that from the list as an appropriate response. Geesh, I should have figured that one out. We're big enough to have two GW's here. Thanks for the great thread reference and being kind while doing so. Now I is smarter! :nerd:
 
Just a quick picture. It was somewhat dusty inside, but not too bad. Of course, there were the two dead moths to remove.

One of the advantages, I guess of being happily single. I overheard the owner of the company that painted the exterior of my house say to the adjuster who was looking at my roof for hail damage "man, his whole house is a mancave". I guess he's right.
