Yamaha NS-35T something a bit rare who knows the skinny

Long time since I opened a post, been on Audio haitatus I suppose, anyhow tonight looking for some small speakers to fill in a bed room i stumbled across a pair of nice condition Yamaha NS-35T a 2 way with 10 inch woofer id consider them a mid sized book shelf. I know they are from a time Yamaha has made some nice speakers, and these are well built, maybe not as dense as id hope, but quite solid, and Mirror Imaged, looks like a simple cross over.

Initial listening impressions (mind you this is after removing a pair of B&W Tower speakers that had been listened to all day in the office) .. perhaps a bit harsh on the top end but the 10 inch woofer in near field really carries a good impact, and midrange is full, for a small speaker, probably a combination of the wide baffle and the larger driver

Any Yamaha speaker fans out there that can enlighten me, I see lots of references to a NS-20t and NS-30t but not much here or any place else ....

Some additional details
YAMAHA JA0549 Dome Tweeter ( aso in NS-25t and NS-55T )
YAMAHA JA2534 10 Inch woofer also used in the NS-70T and NS-55T
These are the are all the xref i found doesn't mean there are not others

Well right now I have them in the office which is where i experiement a bit, today there is a Carver PM175 amp that i just had rebuilt, not worth a ton of cash but a very nice sounding amp, and i am alternating between digital sources for right now some lossless SACD level flac, and some online streaming like 1/4th cd quality .. so nothing to interesting but i have a Yamaha CR 640 i am thinking to pair these with for the bed room and have a sweet looking little bed room system

Well that amp looks like it would do the job quite well.
The 640 would be cool to try out as well.
Good luck.
:lurk:

the PM175 is a pro amp, but works well here in the office, its the amp that was the base starting point for the Tom Scholz (Boston) Rockman 500 early on
