These are built in the Ya Horng plant alongside the Teac and Fluance tables, among several other brands. Myself and a few others here have had respectable results with tables from this factory.
The platter, tonearm assembly, dust cover, hinges, back panel, etc. all look to be the same as my Monolith, which is nearly the same as the Elac Miracord 50.
Having said that, I would shrink from the $450 retail price, unless you absolutely must have something with a Yamaha logo on it. The Monolith can be had for $200 or less, it goes on sale often. The Teacs and Fluances tend to be in the sub-$300 range. Basically the same tables.
