That I love my JBLs and Altec Lansing speakers. I always have and always will. They go so well with all of my Marantz gear from the early 70's. All of it all handmade here by American craftsman.

    :)

It was a special time, where people really enjoyed true life like sound. The sound not being cooked up in some black box.

I have never felt the need for an auto tune type set up. I trust my ears--and my electronic x-over. On another forum, I was told that only cheap gear had tone controls and loudness switches. So, I posted a pic of a very expensive McIntosh with tone controls...........

As I remember, only the cheaper gear did not have those functions. I also remember the wisdom was that one shouldn't ever use them. Then I met and talked to a JBL rep. He laughed and, as he adjusted the knobs, said "that's what they're there for--no one hears anything the same way someone else does--so make yoruself happy". And I do.
