Whose should get the award and what should they get?
All the long suffering should be rewarded, right?
A few rules:
1: You are free to boast and show pics as proof that your's should win but, you can't nominate them!
2: fellow Aker's can nominate their choice.
3: to be fair, if you don't have any friends here that have been to your house(live in the boonies,whatever) Have someone who is/has sign up and nominate.
4: The prize should be something other than YOU:D

Notice in this picture the horns are much larger, and my album collection has taken over the wall.. and now, that shelf is almost completely full as compaired to when I took this...

I'll also say, she sent me a link to a Estate auction up the street from us because they had pictures and listed some stereo gear.. which I passed on.. but she was still offering because she saw a turntable ans said "Maybe they will have albums"

I gotta admit.. I am VERY lucky... and love the hell outta her for being her!!! :yes:

OH!!!! and I do have to thank her for ordering tickets and talking me into go see Robin Trower last night.. and she did the same last year.. (well, not that she had to talk me into it, but she was the one that saw he was in the area)

Kinda used to twisters living here but never been in a huricane.That setup of yours may be the closest thing to feeling the mighty wind blow, exept you can stop the wind anytime you like when it's close to blowin' the house down :thmbsp:
 
I was thinking for a few minutes of who I thought must have a really cool wife or SO around here, and my first thought was Powerman.. I mean DAMN.. any girl that would put up with her guy spending all the cash and time he has, has to be super cool..

But then I realized the most perfect one around here we ALL have to admire and thank would be Mrs. Grumpy....

Imagine all the time Grumpy must have to spend dealing with the legalities and back-end to keep this place happening.. If it wasn't for his wile putting up with him dealing with AK, then I would bet there is a fair chance we wouldn't have this place to feed our sick addictions...

Mrs. Grumpy - AKA Nancy - is certainly a hardworking and fun soul. She puts in a lot of effort particularly for AKFest and she has to live with Dave all year round and still manages a big smile. There could be other nominees in that same vein like Mrs Luvinvinyl - AKA Linda. She even travels from another country to get to AKFest!

Of course, I'd like to know why it's limited to wives/SOs....don't great husbands/SOs count too? There must a few forbearing male souls out there....

Of course I'm biased but my wife works so that I can stay home with the kids and run my little speaker business out of the shop. She doesn't have to deal with physical stuff on the scale of Similost or Powerman (although I do currently have 4 pairs of speakers in the living room) but she gives me 8 hours a day that I don't have to be in the rat race.
