GE round color

1964 GE round color with 21FJP22. Bought at Old Sorehead Trade days, Stanton, TX. for $5.00. It was working well but now there is an HV or focus problem as the picture is very blurry or dim. Have not checked it out yet.

I have got this set working...there was a bad solder joint at the cathode connection of the horizontal output tube. Am now trying to solve a problem of flyback overheating.

I used a fuse-style lamp (6.3 v. 250 ma.) in the cathode fuse holder I installed and adjusted the horizontal effeciency coil for the minimum lamp brightness. Have left the lamp in the circuit as an extra cathode resistance to further reduce the current, and if it really becomes excessive, the lamp will blow.
