yep, would agree with the other posts. Leave those double bypass caps in place, they do make the amp sound better. Lower the ESR at higher frequencies. The original power supply caps look original. Would at least test them, measure ESR and total capacitance at a minimum.

The other hot rod mod that was done on these is to replace that thin ground buss wire (wire connecting the two caps together and forming the ground plane) with a piece of copper buss bar. Would lower the noise floor a few db as well.
