As a preliminary move, towards fullrange amplification, I installed Lambda 8-ohm TDM Apollo drivers in what were 4-ohm TDX GOT enclosures. TDX is the 22hz-Fs driver designed to go with the Unity Horn. The GOT configuration uses opposing passive radiators; in this case they are the 1400g version, creating an Fb of about 20hz. The TDM shouldn't really be used in the GOT box, because of Xmax limits, but at very loud volume levels, there's almost no visible motion. As soon as the drivers for my Unity Horns arrive, I'll swap them in for the Klipsch tractrixes pictured. The TDM is a great sounding driver. So great that I may set aside plans for biamping with the TDX and go with a speaker-level 300hz XO to the TDM.
